The Cape Hatteras Light Station was relocated in 1999; it was so successful that it was called "The Move of the Century." This poster celebrates the preservation of this iconic lighthouse. Pictured is an aerial of the move path down which the tower traveled to its new location; an aerial of the lighthouse at its original location teetering on the edge of the sea; the move track as it was being welded together in preparation for another push down the move beams; and the lighthouse standing tall and safe at its new location.
